The Executive requested the AGM for our 40th anniversary and are delighted to have secured the AGM for 2011/2012 season, being a European Year, we are delighted. The event will be hosted in the County of Donegal and will include the participation of our good friends the Inishowen League.
We strongly urge Clubs to advance on their development plans, (Contact League via Letter with whats happening, trivial or not) and request that they submit proposals to the League Executive (yes this early) to take advantage of having high profile personell in the County to open/endorse Club activities. You have 4 years to get yourself sorted re faciliteis, and now is the time to progress.
Also we will be looking for Clubs to host events, and request proposals in writing as not all Clubs will be seen on the AGM week events.
Applications to League Secretary Nigel Ferry, and even though you think it might be early, the Clubs that admit an interest will be kept in the frame of events/issues that may arise.
We also strongly recommend Clubs to submit the Club of the Month forms (available from Terry, and those that have submitted again to re-submit) with the FAI, November and December are notorious slack months amongst the rest of Ireland, and you dont have to have won anything last season, you just have to have been a progressive Club over the past few years, If you need help Herbie Barr UFA Administrator (087-2874405) will help/advise/meet you to fill out forms and advise of the point scoring system, also if applying for capital funding his knowledge of the system and contacts are invaluable.
Please take full advantage of the resources and help that is available to you, no task is too big, we are all here to help each other for the good of football and our communities. |
